Briefing on Preparation of China Sport Show 2016

  China Sport Show 2016 will be held in Fuzhou International Strait Conference & Expo Center on April 22, 2016. On December 2, 2015, the Promotional Dinner of China Sport Show 2016 Shanghai Stage was held in Westin Shanghai, on which, commissioned by Mr. Li Hua, Vice President & General Secretary of China Sporting Goods Industry, Mr. Luo Jie, Director of China Sport Show introduced the progress of preparations for China Sport Show 2016.

  Preparations for China Sport Show 2016 have been fully started since September 2015. Currently, everything is in good order and well arranged. The exhibition invitation progress has surpassed the level of the same periods of the past years – up to December 1, over 1000 enterprises have registered for the exhibition and the registered area has covered more than 70,000 square meters, beyond the carrying capacity of Fuzhou Strait International Conference & Expo Center. The professional audience registration and activities planning are also being carried out orderly.

  A few practical improvement programs have been formulated for China Sport Show 2016, where the following 10 innovative breakthroughs would be implemented:

  1. Important changes to exhibition area layout: Based on the requirements of exhibitors for balls and the characteristics of dealers for balls, the racket games equipment zone will be combined with the ball games equipment zone to integrate the exhibition areas of all balls including football, basketball, volleyball, tennis, badminton and ping pong, so as to strengthen the connectivity and collaboration among ball operators and attract more professional audiences of balls.

  2. Adjustment of exhibition planning: Roller-skating & outdoor sports zone will be relocated to Hall 7 from Hall 5. The latter is at the center of hall area, with convenient access to all the other halls from either side of it and always attracts large flow of visitors. Hall 8 that abuts Hall 7 will be used as the running, swimming, combat & leisure zone. These two halls, loved by the mass fans and youngsters, will be the most popular area in China Sport Show 2016.

  3. Adding of ice and snow elements: Upon Beijing's selection as the host of 2022 Winter Olympics, China's manufacturing industry and consumption market of ice and snow sports equipment will usher in a spurt of development. A well-known international brand has raised the idea of "indoor experience of ice and snow" and expected to build indoor ski slopes and a zone for experiencing ice skate blades in the exhibition area. If this plan can be smoothly implemented as scheduled, the ice and snow sports equipment zone will be placed in Hall 7, mutually reinforcing each other with the roller-skating & outdoor sports zone.

  4. Preferential policies for existing exhibitors: Due to limited exhibition areas, more favorable conditions will be given to exhibitors with participation in consecutive sessions of the exhibition. The standards and rules for exhibition invitation to fitness zone of China Sport Show 2016 will clearly introduce the arrangement of exhibition sequence and the quality activities to be carried out based on the exhibitors' requirements.

  5. Preparation of supporting services: Relevant departments of Fuzhou have attached high importance to the supporting services of China Sport Show 2016. We've contacted the road and traffic authority and the bureau of commodity price of Fuzhou Municipality, and signed contracts with travel service providers to ensure optimum experience of exhibitors and audiences from perspectives of security, intellectual property right, logistics and accommodation. Moreover, many hotels to be opened in 2016 will relieve the pressure on accommodation during China Sport Show 2016.

  6. Adoption of new audience management database: A new audience management database will be used to implement the segmentation of audiences in the database by region, type and level. After the new database is commissioned, invitation and notification can be sent to audience based on specific requirement or by level, batch and time to precisely reach the target recipient.

  7. Stricter mechanism of visitor invitation: A broader and enhanced group registration incentive mechanism and VIP plan will be introduced to scale up the recruitment efforts with a tighter controlled review process. To ensure better experience for visitors, on-site registration of professional visitors will no longer be available in China Sport Show 2016. Instead, more ticket houses will be provided to ensure fast access and shortened queue times. In addition, three venue tour routes for professional buyers will be presented. Based on which, specialized staff are assigned to guide professional buyers through the exhibition and help audiences better understand the exhibitors and exhibits.

  8. Change of operating model: Topics chosen by China Sporting Goods Industry Summit Forum 2016 will be more public life focused, and provide guidance and suggestions on the micro-market and market segments. After being well-received in the past three sessions and with reference to advices provided by professionals in the industry, we will charge fees for further operations.

  9. Value-added service for brand promotion: As required by some enterprises attend for exhibition, a value-added service for brand promotion of major exhibitors is planned to be provided along with exhibition invitation. In this way, participated enterprises can enjoy the value-added service for brand promotion from the moment of registration. In addition, our reconstructed official website has been launched. The user-friendly style and structure, and the clear layout of function and theme areas, as well as the convenient directions between directories, guarantee the optimum browsing experience. The upcoming innovative identification system - a new CIVI system that features global visions and international design styles, will further improve the brand value of China Sport Show.

  10. Industry development report since 2012: This is the fourth consecutive year in which China Sporting Goods Federation is publishing an annual report of authoritative data – China Sporting Goods Industry Report, and the third consecutive year for the publishing of China Fitness and Rehab Equipment Industry Report. In 2016, we will strengthen the report on in-depth issues about industry segmentations, and attempt to provide report on market segments besides fitness and rehab equipment.
