Women's sports market tops $1bn for the first time, what changes will it bring to the sports industry?

Recently, Deloitte's study "Elite Women's Sports: Breaking the Billion Dollar Mark" provides a prognosis for women's sports trends in 2024 and beyond: by 2024, professional women's sports will reach $1.28 billion in global revenues. This is the first time that women's sports have exceeded $1 billion in annual global revenues, and the total value is at least 300 per cent higher than Deloitte's estimate three years ago.
The boom in the professional women's sports market is also a reflection of the prosperity of the global women's sports market, a trend that is also evident in the Chinese market.
In recognition of this trend, the Home Fitness Zone at China Sport Show 2023 featured a women's fitness zone as well as a yoga and Pilates zone. In the wake of the epidemic, exercise and fitness have been integrated into the lives of people across the country, with a significant increase in the participation of young people and women in sports. The development of these two zones has, in a way, provided new highlights for the entire Home Fitness Zone, successfully attracting enquiries from upstream suppliers of yoga products as well as downstream trading platforms. The display of yoga clothing of all shapes and sizes was an eye-catching presence in the zone.
