Golf Rounds Played Show Weakness In June

U.S. golf rounds played were up 0.4 percent in June 2021 against a surge in play in the year-ago period due to the pandemic, according to Golf Datatech.
For the year-to-date period, rounds played are ahead 22.8 percent.
Golf Datatech had reported June 2020 rounds were up 13.9 percent compared to the same month the prior year.
By region for June 2021 versus June 2020, the biggest gain was seen in the Mid-Atlantic, up 11.5 percent; followed by Pacific,
4.5 percent; New England, 4.4 percent; and West North Central, 1.9 percent. Declines were seen in South Central, down 8.1 percent; South Atlantic, 4.8 percent; and Mountain, 0.1 percent.
