The National Bureau of Statistics released the "Statistical Communique on the National Economic and Social Development of the People's Republic of China in 2022," revealing that at the end of 2022, there were 4.227 million sports venues nationwide, with a total area of 3.7 billion square meters and an average per capita area of 2.62 square meters. Compared to the statistics in 2021, all three of these figures have significantly increased. At that time, there were 3.971 million sports venues nationwide, with a total area of 3.41 billion square meters and an average per capita area of 2.41 square meters. It is expected that the 2023 data will also see new growth.
