Recently according to Magdalena Kondej, director of apparel research department of European Monitor Center, global apparel market is recovering and apparel sales increase nearly 6% in 2012. Sports apparel sales increase quickly and promote the recovery of global apparel market. The consumption of sports apparel increases the most in North America and Asian-Pacific regions.

According to European Monitor Center, global sporting goods market increased 7.5% in 2012, reaching over 244 billion dollars. At present, the top four sports apparel markets are USA, China, Japan and Brazil, which take over the half of the global market share in 2012. USA tops other countries, over three times of Chinese market.
According to Kondej, Russian, Ukrainian and Argentine sporting goods markets grew the fastest in 2012. By 2017, Russian sales will have been doubled, topping all West European countries, including Italy, Great Britain, France and Germany.
