110,000 domestic and overseas audiences expected at 2013 Sports Show

  The 31st China Sport Show to be inaugurated in Beijing on 31 May, will attract 110,000 audiences, as reported by Mr. Li Zheng and Ms. Zhang Mei, the leading members in charge of invitation of audiences. Now, the work for inviting the targeted customers, the key organizations and associations is completed, and is in the stage of refining and implementation of the cooperation plan.

  Two channels for inviting domestic audience, and number of school sports buyers has a breakthrough.

  The domestic audiences would be invited through two channels: targeted audiences and general public. Invitation of targeted audiences could be divided into the following 4 aspects, as Mr. Li Zhen reported.

  The first group of the audience is the people invited through the competent departments of the government and the associations of the industry, such as the Chinese Commerce Association for General Merchandise, the Chinese Hotels Association and Beijing Bodybuilding Association. Invitations can also be sent through the School Sports Equipment Department (SSED), an institution engaging in construction and management of sports facilities and acquisition and distribution of sports equipment at the national level. Under the leadership of the Sports Committee of Chinese Association of Higher Education and the Sport and Health Branch of the Chinese Society of Education, the SSED is an influential department of the industry. The SportShow’s cooperation with the SSED mainly involves the following three aspects: 1) to invite the leading persons in charge of purchase of sports equipment of the education committees at all levels and of the universities and colleges nationwide; 2) to organize meetings between purchasers and exhibitors during the show; 3) to hold the purchasers and key exhibitors workshops. "Through our cooperation with the SSED, the number of professional audiences has shown a big increase than that of the previous years, as expected by many exhibitors”, Mr. Li Zhen said.

  The second group of people invited is the professional audience of the sports society. Invitations have been sent to 37 provincial or municipal sports bureaus in 32 provinces and autonomous regions in China, and to the subordinated junior sports clubs, spare-time sports schools, and the mass sports organizations of the Beijing Sports Bureau.

  The third group of people invited is the VIP audience. The VIP audience mainly come from the major distributors who have participated in China Sport Show for many years and are those guests invited by the partners of the Sport Show.

  The fourth group of people invited is the guests from famous stores, department stores and chain supermarkets. At present, the organizers have established the contact with some of the old clients, including Lotte Mart, Wumart, Jingdong, Gome, and Amazon.

  There are two methods for recruiting the ordinary audience: One is to host special activities in each exhibition zone, and the other is to issue posters and magazines. Mr. Li Zheng briefed that, with a clear positioning, each exhibition zone will host various kinds of activities to attract professional audience and ordinary audience. The organizers can also distribute posters and complimentary tickets through various channels for promoting the Sport Show and for attracting the vast ordinary audience.

  The domestic audience will be provided with various kinds of service, including the online registration and on-site distribution of ID card. A Visitor Service Center will be set up during the Show, providing the people with information, consultation and assistance. The VIP audience will be provided with all-in-one service, including invitation, accommodation, dining, and researching. An research will be conducted on the VIP audience, with the aim to form a core group of audience and improve the quality of service, Li Zheng said.
