After two years of successful holding in Beijing, China Sport Show will move to Wuhan next year, as learnt by the reporter at the First Road show of 2014 China Sport Show (32nd Edition) , which was held in Shanghai on November 11th. It is confirmed that, supervised by the General Administration of Sport of China, hosted by the China Sporting Goods Federation, and with the theme of “New Vision, New Pattern and New Altitude”, the 2014 China Sport Show will be held in Wuhan International Expo Center from May 9th to 12th, 2014. The staging of the First Road show in Shanghai marked the official launch of the preparation work for the 2014 China Sport Show in all fields, including of exhibitors and visitors registration, events organization and media publicity.
As in recent years, China Sport Show has been always keeping to its position of serving sports and the society, and continuously absorbing and digesting new elements, the value of its own platform as well as the value provided for enterprises, industry and the society have reached a new height. Mr. LI Hua, Director General of the Sports Equipment Administrative Center of General Administration of Sport of China, Vice President and Secretary General of China Sporting Goods Federation commented during the Road show that, at present, the sporting goods industry was facing a complicated and profound transformation, requiring all insiders of the industry to have an innovative thinking to meet the challenge. Therefore, in the new cycle, the organizers of China Sport Show should strive to achieve an innovative ideology and mechanism, tor make full preparations for the oncoming China Sport Show.
Centering on the theme of “New Vision, New Pattern and New Altitude”, Mr. LI Hua gives a detailed explanation on the innovations of the 2014 China Sport Show. “New Vision” means that the organizers of the Show should take the speech made by President XI Jinping in Liaoning during the National Games as the guide, to reexamine the historical mission and social responsibility of the China Sport Show and of the sporting goods industry, so that they could play an even greater role in promoting the all-round development of sports-for-all and competitive sports in China. “New Pattern” means that, under the background of the time when the sporting goods industry is facing great changes, China Sport Show should help the whole industry to adapt to the challenges, transform the style of economic growth, adjust the economic structure, and seize the opportunity to upgrade of the industry. “New Altitude” means that, apart from inheriting and carrying forward the successful experiences gained in the past 31 editions, the organizers should strive to turn the Show into a more valuable platform with new thoughts and wisdoms, strengthen interpretation of the policy and research of the industry, seize the commanding height of the industry, provide the exhibitors with more concrete and value-added service, and help the whole industry transform the growth mode and optimize the economic structure.
It is reported that, the purpose of moving the 2014 China Sport Show to Wuhan is to develop the ever growing and maturing market of the sports good industry in Central China, by taking geographical advantage of Wuhan as a transportation junction, so that it can bring along the markets of the industry in the surrounding areas, activate the potential demands, meet the requirement of all enterprises for developing new commercial opportunities and bring about the prosperity for the industry as a whole. The organizers of 2014 China Sport Show have shown an innovative thinking in their work in many ways. For instance, taking advantage of the local conditions, they have started to explore new channels for inviting domestic professional audiences. Wuhan is a city with many universities and colleges. To meet the requirements of the local colleges, middle and primary schools, and the help of the local government, the organizing committee has held two seminars attended by the buyers of the educational system, experts and exhibitors. In order to provide the buyers with more resting and meeting areas, they have increased the area of buyers’ lounge. For inviting overseas audiences, the organizers will continue to send out groups to world famous sporting exhibitions, by following the strategy of "going out or coming in". By doing so, it can expand the influence of the China SportShow to overseas and seek more opportunities of cooperation in the main global markets, especially the emerging ones, so that it can attract more overseas audience.
To compare with the previous editions of the China Sport Show, the organizers of the 2014 Show will pay more attention to attaching an equal importance to “subtraction and addition” in organization of activities, strictly follow the principle of “practicing economy and combating waste” of the Party Central Committee, and avoid extravagance and waste. “Addition” means that, the organizers will pay more attention to improving the value of the activities. For instance, after completion and issuance of the report on the development of sporting goods industry, the organizers will have the market further segmented and the summit forum further deepened, in order to help the enterprises to find their own growth pattern in the upcoming changes, and to make a benign transformation of economic structure for the whole industry.
At present, all the preparations for 2014 China Sport Show are undergoing tensely and smoothly. The promotion activities held previously prove to be very fruitful, and the feedbacks from the industry are optimum. The overall tempo for recruitment of exhibitors of 2014 Show has surpassed the same period of the previous ones. At the press time, the organizer has received applications from 690 enterprises, with a total exhibition area of nearly 100,000 square meters. “Not only the old friends have shown a great enthusiasm, but also many new faces are eager to make a debut in the 2014 Show”, a leading person of the 2014 China Sport Show briefed.
